About a month ago, I had the great honor and privilege to be able to attend the fashion show for the debut collection of The White Rose by Michelle Zahabian. The pieces and the presentation were absolutely fabulous. She was inspired to create the collection because she saw a void in the ready-to-wear segment of the fashion industry that most designers flat out ignore or don’t think about: day-to-night transitional outfits.

As not only a single gal but also a working gal in NYC, I find myself struggling with this issue quite often – especially working in the corporate world during the day. I have to dress fairly conservatively to the office but it’s too stuffy for happy hour. However, I don’t want to lug around an entire outfit in my already full tote just to be cute for after work drinks (or a first date even). And there’s not enough time to run home and change either. The struggle is real!

So, what do I do? I usually wear nice black pants with a button up shirt and blazer during the day and then swap out the button up with a flirty top and statement jewelry that I can change into before I leave the office to spice things up a bit. And that’s exactly what Michelle had in mind when she created The White Rose collection which included these fabulous leather cropped pants.

Although I loved every piece in The White Rose collection, I was immediately drawn to these cropped leather pants. I’ve always wanted a pair but I thought they would be something that I’d never own because they are not cheap. And I’m just as happy with my coated skinnies over here. But these were reasonably priced for leather pants in my opinion (about 300 dollars) so I told myself I’d consider buying them if they fit. And of course they did. Sold!

I’ve only worn these pants on one other occasion because it’s been too humid for leather pants (or any pants for that matter) in NYC lately. The previous time I wore them was with a tunic top and my ankle cuff pumps. I wanted to go more Parisian chic this time around though with a black blazer, striped shirt, and simple white pumps. In the fall and winter months, I would wear these like I would my other leggings or jeggings: with OTK boots or ankle booties. I know summer just technically started but I just got super excited for fall after I wrote that sentence. Chillax, Amber and enjoy the heat while it lasts.
