Cover-Up Coverup

Happy Monday lovelies!

I wanted to talk about mystery spots when it comes to shopping for pieces. Y’all already know that I’ll pop into men’s in a minute to find a specific piece I’m searching for or I am coming up empty in women’s BUT there’s another spot that’s a sleeper when it comes to clothes – SWIMWEAR!

Yes, the swim section. Hear me out. Some of my all-time favorite summer dresses have come from the swim section because they were categorized as cover-ups. This gorgeous Camilla moment was in there. SEE WHAT I MEAN?! There’s bangers in the swim section. And because you’re buying it as a dress, you’re more likely to see it as such in your closet. I still plan to wear this dress as a cover-up (I did in Mexico) but I originally bought it as a fun, short summer dress and am so glad that I did. Here I styled it layered with a turtleneck bodysuit (it’s still chilly here), added a belt to define my waist since it got lost in the fabric, and threw on my favorite Fendi boots for fun. A LEWK! I will say that the cover-ups are a bit more revealing as far as necklines so you may have to add a cami or bralette underneath for a more modest look. Also, I did test this look out at work on Thursday and had on my DIY Chanel headband as well as my leather jacket. I got compliments ALL DAY!

So don’t be afraid to browse the swim section next time you’re shopping online or in-store for spring and summer dresses. You’re welcome😁
