Happy Monday Cocoa Butter Crewe! Not going to lie, last week was rough. I didn’t sleep well (still haven’t been to be honest) and I don’t know why. Hopefully I’ll get back on track this week because ya girl is tired. But my tiredness didn’t stop me from getting things done this weekend.
On Friday, I went to Zara to pick up bodysuits (yes, that bodysuit) and I saw one of the employees wearing a fabulous faux leather button up shirt. But the store I was at didn’t have it in stock (shocker) so I was going to have to order it. Funny thing is that I had ordered some pieces from Zara the week prior and my package was scheduled to be delivered later in the day. Lo and behold I had ordered that shirt already! Is it sad that I couldn’t remember what I ordered?
On Saturday I did some thrift and vintage shopping for a DIY fashion project I’m working on. During my travels I found a leather trench coat with fur trim. It was $55 and too good to pass up! All it needed was a button. I grabbed a two pack from the fabric store for $1.10 and my dry cleaner sewed it on for me…tada! I’ve been on a leather kick lately and I can’t explain it! I did say it was going to be a huge trend for fall though sooo maybe that’s why??
And it’s not just buying leather pieces either. When it finally cooled down last week, I wore my Rag and Bone leather pants three times. Check out my Instagram feed if you don’t believe me! And all the fashionistas I follow have been showing out in their leather skirts and trench coats lately. I’ve done the legwork for y’all and rounded up my favorite leather pieces below at all price points to help you stay on trend throughout the season. Happy shopping!
